Our Easter was very laid back this year. We had been in our house for just over a week, Uncle JJ and my cousin Abbey were here and most of all our house was still a mess of boxes, packing paper and tape! I really had the best of intentions, we even got almost everything we needed for the baskets the weekend before when Grams was still here (she was a very nice Easter Bunny)! However, I forgot the one thing we needed for an egg hunt still so the evening before I sent Josh, JJ and Abbey for a puzzle. I really didn't want to do a bunch of candy or even other little snacks so our eggs had puzzle pieces in them. Zachary thought it was great and Molly Jayne was happy just putting the eggs in her basket!
Easter Sunday also happened to be our first time attending our new ward. We had all morning to get ready and enjoy the day since our church didn't start until 1pm. The kids enjoyed hanging out in their pjs for breakfast and lunch! Abbey came with us for the first hour and then brought Molly back to take and nap (Sundays are going to be long hard days since Josh won't be able to attend with us regularly).
After church we had a very non traditional Easter dinner, well non traditional for our Oregon family, no cream cheese salad here! It was grilled steak, loaded mashed potatoes with steamed veggies!
All in all we had a very happy Easter and would love to have Uncle JJ and/or Abbey back for any upcoming holiday (or any time really)!
