NASCAR Weekend in Las Vegas! J has gotten free tickets the last two years, knowing this will likely be our last spring here for at least a couple of years, we thought it would be a fun event to go checkout with the kids. We made it there a little early and got to see some friends and family that were there for the race too. We made it to our seats and were waiting for the race to start when J suggested we go take some cover because the rain was quickly approaching. We headed down to wait it all out, before the big crowds started seeking cover too. The race was a bit delayed due to the rain, but ti was pretty short lived (as are most storms in Las Vegas). Our goal was to make it to lap 200 with the kids. They say they had a good time, but really were more interested in snacks than the race. We headed to our car at lap 200 and we got caught in the second storm, thankfully it was just wind, but it was 45 mph winds that were stopping us in our tracks as we walked across the giant parking lot. All in all it was an experience we'll remember and another bucket list item checked!
