We had a
little visit from some of our favorite South Dakotans! Papa and Grandma
came down for a visit! We had some busy, fun filled days! And sadly, the
weather was wet and cold almost the entire time they were here...we have
got to convince Papa to come in a month other than November! We picked
them up one afternoon after Zachary finished up at school and we
explored a bit in Caesars Palace.
Really we were there for two reasons, Vosges Chocolate and lunch. A few
years ago we got Papa and Grandma some chocolate covered bacon bars for
Christmas. Who knew how much they would like it and that there would
happen to be a store here?! It's now on their must stop list whenever
they come to town.
They
joined us for Zachary's Thanksgiving program at school, soccer
practice, and playing at some parks. We even ventured up the mountain for
lunch one afternoon and found some snow! They joined us for an evening
of bowling with the Boggess family and treats from Dunkin' Donuts. And Papa
got to try out Daddy's two new toys...the motorcycle and the snooker
table!
Then,
just a few hours after we dropped them off at the airport, Broden hit a
milestone! He is now a stair climber! Little stinker! I thought I still
had at least another month! Nope, and the worst par-t he is a quiet
little guy! I didn't even know what he was doing until he was nearly
half way up. Thankfully, he was happy to be at my eye level and I kept him
there long enough for Zachary to come over and help. Then, he continued
all the way to the top!
