6th months and counting!!!

Zachary had his 6th month check up this morning, time is just going by way too fast! He was 19 lbs 10 oz and 27 inches tall. Some comments from the doctor and nurses...."I just can't get over those big eyes and eyelashes," " he is just so active," "oh listen to him, he knows exactly what he wants," "such an alert little one," "he will be moving before you know it," "I am very impressed he is your first born," "if he wants real food, just mash it up, he knows when he is ready." The doctor seemed to really enjoy interacting with Zach as she tested his strength and motor skills. She just couldn't get over his strength....he is one stout little man!

Some new things Zachary has been up to:

-sitting up all by himself
-successfully feeding himself finger foods
-taking a bottle without any assistance
-eating more and more solid food
-splashing and laughing at it in the bath
-recognizing people other then momma and daddy
-utilizing his vocal cords (not in a bad way- he just LOVES to talk loud)
-everything goes in his mouth! If he can reach it, its in!

If you look closely you might be able to see this little tooth
Just waking up from a quick nap on the floor
Zachary LOVES to play with Gabe! Check out that smile as he watches with wide eyes what Gabe is up to!
So happy after an afternoon nap

I love the picture of Zach looking through the crib and playing with Gabe. It's so fun when they start interacting and getting their own personalities. You've been busy on your blog, it was fun to read all of your new posts!

I have a hard time waiting to see
Zach and get to hold him. You and Josh are doing a great job of raising your son. I am so proud of you both. As you know I would be proud of a grandson that can EAT.

Love Grandpa John

He has THE CUTEST eyes ever Dana! What a cutie patootie. And congrats on the duathalon! That's great. I need to start running again. I was up to 6 miles before Chloe came along. Now I'm back to ZERO again. Ugh.
