We are also working on potty training Molly Jayne. This will take a while! She is one stubborn little Miss! But, hopefully with the weather getting nice (not too hot and not too windy) we'll be able to spend more time outside and that seems to help! When we are in the house I have never been so grateful for wood floors on our main floor! It's made all of our cleaning up much easier!
Then on our Sunday, (also known as Friday), we played and finished cleaning up the backyard! I attempted to use the rake a few times and quickly regretted that decision. My brain/mind/spirit feels so great that I forget that I am still recovering from a c-section.
The kids and I cleaned out the swimming pool because it's supposed to hit 90 tomorrow! Josh spent some time working on our most troubled section of grass. Even after hand pulling weeds from the entire corner, the ground still doesn't look very promising! After some digging, we determined that there seems to be just as many rocks in our yard as there are around it! Hopefully, we'll be able to get something to work. After having okay grass in Ohio, a mess of a yard in Mississippi, and now this junk, we both commented on how we wish we could have our Alaskan grass back! Only 12 years to retirement!
We all took a little break to have some lunch! It's a little tradition that on April 12th we eat Taco Bell for at least one meal. I have been doing this for years. Today is my cousin Sarah Jayne's birthday and Taco Bell was her favorite restaurant so, in her honor we partake!
After lunch, it was time to break in the pool for the season! It lasted about 10 minutes before they really did break the pool! This sun out here in Nevada is killer on plastic. We can manage for a bit longer but, we'll be investing in another pool very soon. Zachary and Molly Jayne had a BLAST! Surprising, considering the water was right out of the hose and it was barely 80 degrees outside! After nearly two hours, I convinced them to take a break and head inside. The offer of snacks and juice are hard to resist when you are 4 and 2!
