4 wks vs. 1 month

Either way you look at it, Broden is growing up too fast! I know we all say this with all of our children but, time is just flying by and I wish it would stop! Knowing Broden is our last little one I am savoring all the little moments I can. All too soon, he will be mobile, talking and running around causing trouble with Zachary and Molly! I cherish all the snuggles I get right now because soon enough, he will be too big to want all these hugs and kisses.

We had to make a trip into the doctor's office this week to check on Broden's weight. When we were there for his two week check, he hadn't gained back to his birth weight. But, this week, thanks to lots of formula, he weighed in at 9 lbs 3 oz. My little baby won't be so little much longer at this rate! One pound every 2 weeks, he'll be a fat little butter ball (like his brother and sister were) in no time!

 A few firsts of Brody's 1st month:

• Molly gave (was sharing) Broden his first goldfish cracker.

• He has been sleeping in his own room, in his crib for about a week now. Mom is sleeping much better listening to a baby monitor instead of sharing a room. 

• His first smile was last week (between 3 and 4 weeks) had he not done it multiple times I wouldn't have believed it! But, Broden LOVED Justin and every time Justin would talk to him Broden would would light up!

• After about bath number 3, he finally enjoyed it! In fact, it was so soothing that he only cried when I took him out!

• We have had many outings- to the park, Costco, Red Robin, Church, a field trip with Zachary's class, the nail salon with Momma, a stop for frozen yogurt, two work functions for Daddy- Just to name a few! Someone at Church asked me on Easter if that was our first outing?! No way!!! After weeks of bed rest, we were out and about the day we came home from the hospital!
