One evening (back in July) after dinner we decided to head over to Mt. Charleston to just drive around and check it out. Its about a 20 mile ride, northwest of us and during the winter time its has an open ski lift. We just drove until the road ended and we had to turn around. It was nice to see some trees (other than Palm trees that is) and it was SOOOO much cooler! We headed up there around 6 and it was about 98 at our house, by the time we reached the top it was in the high to mid 60's! For our northern blood it was almost like heaven on earth during this Las Vegas summer!
