Bonnie Springs Ranch

The only Saturday Josh had off in July we thought it would be nice to go explore a "tourist site" of the city. Several locals had told us what a neat place Bonnie Springs Ranch was and recommended that we go check it out! We can now say we have been there, done that, and have no real reason to return. There were pony rides ($7 each-thankfully our kids were not interested), a western town, a so called petting zoo, a motel with a bar and restaurant, and a train ride (this was the saving grace for the kids!). I have no intention of sounding bitter, because we did have a great day! We headed out there with the Harter Family (friends from Ohio) and we spent most of the day laughing and reminiscing about good times we both had a Young's Dairy. Plus we all had reason to smile because it wasn't 110 out!
Zach's reaction to asking him if her wanted a pony ride!

Zach's kind of "pony" ride
The train depot and the entrance to the western town
Zach wasn't a fan of the petting zoo either!
Heading down the trail for one last train ride! Thankfully we could ride the train as many times as we wanted, I think we ended up taking 4 rides! It was defiantly the highlight of the day!
