Our first 4th of July here in Las Vegas was spent very similar to our first 4th in Ohio---the only RAINY day in who knows how long! Yep, that's right RAIN! Can you you believe it? We could hardly believe it! The Harter's hosted a pool party and BBQ for our families and one other and just as we hopped in the car to head over, we noticed the sprinkles on the windshield. But we didn't let that stop us, Amanda turned the heater on in the pool and we all jumped in! Although, we stayed in the hot tub for most of the time (it warmed up faster). We all had a great time, the kids played and played until we finally convinced them it was time to get out so we could eat dinner. But eating never goes over all that well when there are other kids around (at least for our kids). Once the adults had their fill it was time for a few small fireworks. The kids were thrilled with sparklers! And although anything over 4 ft. high is not legal here, there were BIG fireworks all over! We didn't even go to a city show. By the time it was late enough for the shows to start, we had seen enough to be happy for the day!
