Is it really June?!

Josh and I were talking the other night about how quickly this year has gone by! Although at times it seemed to drag on and on, for the most part we can hardly believe that its already almost halfway over. Back in January I posted about some of our goals/plans for the year and I was thinking, so how are we coming along...well we are about half way there!

Our GOALS for 2012
-Buy a house in Las Vegas
-Live together under the same roof for 6 consecutive months (we were gone traveling & training alot in 2011)
We are almost three months in and we have no foreseeable reason not to make it to 6 months :)
-Run the Seattle Rock n' Roll half marathon together
Unfortunately this will not be happening, no trips planned to the NW at this point
-Have both our families in Las Vegas for Christmas next year
My parents will be here & Josh's are coming for an early Thanksgiving
-Run (or maybe walk) the Rock n' Roll half marathon in Las Vegas
-Convince our Alaskan family to stop by and see us (hint hint Jill and Sassy!)
Sassy and Treyonna are going to be here in 10 days!!! Now I just need Jill to get her tush down here!
-Talk an Oregon cousin into moving to Vegas with us (hint hint Abbey!)
Yep, I have given up on that's since she signed her first teaching contract! But I do expect her to make another trip down here SOON!
-Have family pictures taken then include my brother with the kids (HINT HINT JJ)
-Make new friends and get to know some other better (should be easy considering we are moving to a new town!)
Working on thus still, but we did reconnect with some friends from Ohio! Who needs new friends when you can catch up with old ones!
-Try four new recipes a month (I go in spurts so this way I can PLAN better)
Done, done, done and we'll keep doing it--Thank you Pinterest!
-Create a list of fun things to do the year I turn 30 (yep, its this year)
Again, didn't really happen but I am working on a list for things to do in my next 30 years
-Go on 3 mini vacations (since we aren't planning any big trips)
Nothing set in stone but we will take a break at some point!

We still have 6 (and a half) more months to work on some and the others so I am not worried about. Plus, we always have fun filled, eventful years so I am sure that something exciting will be happening before the new year!

A few things we are looking forward too right now are:

-the Lewis and Santiago families will be here soon for a few days
-we will be celebrating Molly Jayne's birthday (Josh and I decided that we will have her "big celebration" in June each year--not 5 days before Christmas)
-Running in my fist 5K here in Las Vegas
-Grams is coming down for a visit! She gets her July 1 and will be here for SIX weeks, WOO HOO!
-Josh should be finished with his Master's this summer--double WOO HOO!
-Josh will be making a little road trip from South Dakota to Vegas in August to bring his motorcycle out!
-Sassy is coming back out for a visit in September
-Planning on Josh competing in his first Olympic Triathlon this fall
-Papa, Grandma and Uncle Greg will be here for a visit in November
-We'll celebrate Christmas and ring in the New Year with my parent here

We still have so much left to do this year!
