Its the VAN

As much as it may surprise some of you I am SOOOOO over my issue with referring to our van as the van. Shocking, I know but, after you hear about our week you'll see why I have truly developed an appreciation for my van.

Two weeks ago to day was my first time venturing out of the house with both little ones all by myself. We headed downtown to our Kindermusik class and as we were leaving I "tapped" that truck next to me. It did way more damage to our car then the truck I hit, so the short version of the story---our van had to get fixed and it was going to take a week so we ended up having a rental.
So on Saturday I said good bye to this for a week

And said hello to this lovely car
The car actually was pretty nice. There was plenty or room in the trunk and the back seat. It got great gas mileage and had less then 30K miles on (practically brand new). However, it had been HEAVILY SMOKED in!!! It was so bad that I actually had to use my asthma inhaler when I was in it! It was HORRID! So the rental company was closed on Sunday so first thing Monday morning I was in their office requesting a different car. It took another day but they were finally able to find a new car......
They handed us this beauty!!!!!! Have you ever seen one of these??? Its a Nissan Cube! When we picked it up it only had 52 miles on it! It was brand spankin' new, didn't even have Mississippi tags on it yet. But can you imagine putting two car seats in the backseat?! I couldn't and we didn't even try! So Josh got to drive this beauty around for the rest of the week! Josh says frequently that he could care less what he drives as long as it works he is happy....well stick him in this brand new Cube and has a new opinion! :) He couldn't wait to hand this thing back over to the rental company.
While Josh drove the Cube the kids and I packed into the Jeep. It really wasn't so bad, in fact it was very nice being back in a SUV. Zach LOVED it, he thought it was pretty great getting to ride in Daddy's Jeep everyday!
Our van was supposed to be ready on Thursday and Friday at the latest. We did not hear from the body shop on Thursday so I called first thing Friday morning and she said that it should be ready by then end of the business day....THANK GOODNESS! I was SOOOOOO thrilled to get my van back!
So after all the switching around of cars this week I am so THANKFUL to have my van back! The extra space, the heated leather seats, XM radio, the auto dimming mirrors (love these now, I never even knew it had them!)...its really the little things that make our van so wonderful!

I never thought I would say this but I LOVE MY VAN!

Vans are great! I'm glad that you like it! And I think the Cube is one of the most hideous cars on the road...
