T-6 Solo

Josh took the mighty T-6 up for a spin solo this afternoon!!!! This marks the first big milestone in the long year of pilot training! There are a few traditions that go along with taking this once in a lifetime flight. First before each flight the students take a short ride with an IP (instructor pilot) who then gives the final approval for the student go solo. In doing this the IP also exchanges name tags with the student because there always needs to be a "set of wings" in the airplane. After the student lands and is met by fellow classmate they toss the solo student in the "dunk tank." Its and honor, priville and a right of passage to be "dunked"
