Dinner Southern Style

A mere 230 miles south of Columbus, we found some very interesting dinner options!

Before we headed out of town, Josh researched a few places he thought would be a "must try" based upon the menus he found, our first stop was Hopjacks.

Here we have their Cajun Crawfish pizza. Josh spotted this and knew he HAD to try it!
Menu description: "Spicy cajun crawfish and white sauce topped with green onions, sweet yellow corn and roasted garlic. Seven of the intrepid Hopjacks crew trekked into the deep Louisiana bayou for this recipe. We swear."
Our other pizza for the evening, a little more up my taste bud alley, Twisted Hawaiian. Great pizza and the "twist," they added macadamia nuts to it (well half of it for our order).
The next night we tried Ed's Seafood Shed, "Home of the Yo'Mama's Seafood Platter. Yo' Mama said, 'Don't eat this much in one sittin." And looking at the menu, she was right! There was WAY too much fried food that would have been placed in front of us!

For those of you who know Josh, you know that he orders food based upon the pictures in the menu. Well, this time he was out of luck, not one picture to help him decide. So, he asked our waitress what she would recommend and he went with it! The Soft-Shell Po Boy it was....
That's a large soft shell crab fried WHOLE placed on a "baguette like" Louisiana style french bread.
Josh enjoyed it, but said the crab cakes my mom had were much more flavorful!
We have discovered Zach has some new favorite foods---ICE & SAUCE (any kind)
