The light at the end just keeps running away!

This is more for my own venting then anything else but I also know that some of you are wanting to know about Josh's pilot training almost as much as we do.

So here is what we KNOW. Josh spoke to the guy at Special Flying Programs yesterday who told him that the release date for the 2010 slots will be on or about February 11. Based upon their conversation Josh is pretty confident he has a spot. This is where is gets tricky.....all along I have been waiting for that yes or no answer, not really thinking that a yes doesn't mean a real yes! Did you follow that? Even if Josh gets a pilot slot, that DOES NOT mean that he will for sure get to go to training! He has to pass a in person flight physical (at Brooks AFB) in Texas. As Josh is telling me this I am thinking, "Ok, so you get told you have a slot then the next week you go to Brooks" well that would be a wonderful world wouldn't it?! It COULD still be months before they send him down! Josh is preparing me for the case, which of course makes my mind go right there. We were talking about it last night and Josh was explaining the process to me some more. He said that the flight physical down at Brooks in the biggest obstacle he will face. The Doctors there are looking and searching for a reason NOT to pass you! (this was not a comforting thought to me). So sadly our wait will not (more than likely) be over on February 11 (we are thinking maybe April).

We are both just ready for this to stop looming over us. Its hard to not get irritated knowing that the person Josh spoke with KNOWS if Josh made it or not, but can't tell us!

How frusterating! I hope he hears good news soon.

P.S. Costa Rica is a no-go for us too. It sounds like a ton of fun but Chloe would just not deal. At. All.

We'll have to come up with some girls trip in the future when all of the babies are older. Ha! By then, Jess will have her own baby too!

Sorry Dana. It will all work out for the best, but I'm sure it's frustrating not to know!
