Ok, so this is long over due but better late than never, right? Back in January Josh was accepted into a new position at the Air Force Material Command. Now instead of working in a vault and just watching the hours slowly pass by each day he is working for the CAG (Commanders Action Group). His long boring days are now in the past and now he gets busier and busier each day. He loves it! Although he really has been putting in much longer hours (Friday was a 13 hour day I believe), at least he enjoys what he is doing. Basically, his new job is doing whatever, whenever one of the three Generals at AFMC need something. Eventually the position will include over night traveling with the Generals to their briefings around the country. For now they are keeping him pretty close to home (thankfully) because of our expected bundle of joy :)
A few weeks ago he got a real kick out of being able to come home and when I asked the normal "So how was your day?" he responded by saying "Well I have been to Alabama and back already and I haven't even had dinner yet" One of the Generals had a to speak at a briefing in at Maxwell AFB and needed someone from CAG to attend with her...Not many other positions where you go TDY for 1 day of work.
And for the active duty pilot slot....he found out on Thursday that he did not make it this year. So now there are some BIG decisions to be made in the near future, that we have really been putting off as we waited to hear.
For now he is truly enjoying his new position and knows that he has the support of all the people in his work group!

Hi Josh & Dana, What a nice surprise to get your update and so much information in all!! We are excited with you on all the upcoming events.
Happy to hear all is well and Dana, I can relate to the pain in your hands and arms. Way back when I was expecting Lisa...I too had terrible pain and my arms and hands went to sleep. At that time the Dr told me the baby was pushing on a nerve and as you were told it all goes away after delivery....SO yes, its NO fun.
We are glad Josh likes his new job.... sounds pretty exciting.
We will keep posted and "Thank you" for your nice cards and notes to us. Love you lots and we are thinking of you both each day.
Grandpa & Grandma K.
