The end is in sight!

Yes, yes, I have far from kept my New Year resolution to try and update this thing weekly but when nothing ever seems to change it makes life a little uneventful (I will work on my creativity after Zachary arrives).

Ok, so as I know most of you want to know (via the emails, phone calls, and text messages asking for this) just how things are going. Well have you ever heard to pregnancy induced carpal tunnel, yeah I hand't either until the doctor told me thats what's wrong with my hands. I started loosing feeling in my hands and in my entire arms around Christmas but its just gotten progressively worse. And let me tell you I truly feel for anyone who had this on a regular basis!!!!! Thankfully they say that it should go away 24 to 48 hours after I deliver, so there is an end in sight. However, it has made keeping in touch with friends and family VERY challenging because writing, typing, texting and even holding the phone is just too painful. So, thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers....I am not ignoring you I just have a very hard time responding.

On to Zachary, we have an appointment this week and the doctor will be running some tests to see how he is doing. They want to make sure that he can handle the stress of labor and that there is still enough fluid for him to survive another week or so. If everything checks out alright they are giving me until Sunday March 1st to go into labor on my own, if not we are scheduled to go in for an induction. When I was checked last week Zach was no where near being positioned to make his appearance on his own. He is sitting very high and is angled to the right. He does have his head pointing down but its angled to my back and he is facing my front (both not great things) The doctor also said that because of Zachary's head position the opening of my cervix is off to the side, thus putting me at a "higher than normal risk" of a c-section. They will check me again this week and see if anything has changed. But, you know there are at least minor issues when the high risk/head of the OB department has trouble seeing if you a dilating! He will also be the doctor I see this week and if it comes to an induction he will be the doctor on duty when we go in (on March 1st).

So long story (some what short) Zachary should be here no later then Monday March 2nd! I say that because of the way the hospital here does inductions, it can be a 24 plus hours process.

Isn't it crazy how weird things happen to your body during pregnancy?

With Peyton, I couldn't wear contacts, broke out in a weird skin rash under my nose, had 3 teeth break due to lack of calcium and had a pinched nerve in my leg that turned a spot above my left knee cap numb and made it hurt to touch- even clothing rubbing up against it was uncomfortable!

Not to mention how clumsy I got- I would fall while going UPSTAIRS!

Good thing is, it really does all go away! The pain in my leg took a lot longer to go away but it eventually did.

You're on the final countdown! Yay!

If you have Zachary on March 2nd, he'll share a birthday with Peyton! But I really hope you have him before then. I know you're probably getting to the point that you're ready to have him out already! :-)

I hope you have an easy delivery and that you recover quickly from your carpal tunnel! Can't wait to see pics of the little guy!
