This year we had 4 Halloween(ish) parties before it was even Halloween!
So, it's easy to say we got some good use of the kids costumes! We kicked off the week with a birthday party
We didn't take any pictures at our ward Trunk -or- Treat, but that's mainly because we showed up super late and pretty much just in time for the kids to get some treats! They didn't mind and we shared our candy with another family to hand out so all in all it was a nice night. Then for FHE on Monday we invited some friends over who live down the street and the kids painted their pumpkins
Next, we had Zachary's pre school party, immediately followed by the squadron kids party (yes, all in the same day)!
Then, it was finally Halloween Day!
Merida, Buzz, Tinkerbell, Silvermist and this adorable strawberry had a great time running from house to house. We only walked down tow streets in our neighborhood but, the kids got so many treats that Zachary's bucket broke (several times actually), thankfully we weren't ever too far from home.
And let me just say, who ever thought of the Switch Witch is a genius! I heard about this last year after Halloween so this year we were prepared! We mentioned it several times throughout all our parties and regular chats about what happens on Halloween. Zachary was up about an hour before Molly and there was no stopping his investigation of the goodies left by the Switch Witch. Weeks later he is still thrilled with his new Gordon train and book! And Daddy's flight has been enjoying all that candy ever since!
