Soon to be home sweet home!

We finally feel like its official, I signed the closing papers on our house last night!

One week from today we will be on our way to Las Vegas and our new home (for the next 3 years or so at least). The excitement is really starting to get me now that we are so close to the end! Being in the same place for 3 years will feel like a lifetime compared to the 4 years. Nevada will be our 5th state in less then 4 years (I am including South Dakota in that)! That's a lot of moving, even by military standards! The kids, Grams and I will arrive in Las Vegas next Thursday, our household goods will be delivered on Friday, Abbey joins us the following Thursday (for 2 weeks) and hopefully Josh will be with us by Easter! We planned and prepared for the worst case scenarios and we are getting almost the best.

Now its time for some packing, more driving and LOTS of unpacking! I am sure we will be sharing several before and afters in the next few months and even couple of years, we cant wait to get started on personalizing our home!

 Location, location, location

When it came down to the final three homes that we were looking at we fell in love with the location of this home! It was by far the biggest sized lot we looked at, it is within walking distance to our church (not that we plan on walking when its 115 out), the shortest possible commute for Josh, great public schools (3-4 min away), and the view! We are one row of houses away from being the most northern homes in Las Vegas!
