Welcome to Sherwood Forest

Last July when we arrived here in Mississippi we picked out a nice rental home in the back corner of a neighborhood known as Sherwood Forest. We live on Cedar Drive but our first walk around the neighborhood brought several chuckles as we looked at the different street names-Robin Hood Cir, King Edward Dr, Maid Marion Circle, Little John Lane...you get the idea! We love our neighborhood and will miss is greatly when we leave in a few months! I think one of the scariest parts about moving to a new area is finding a house you like in an area you love. Luckily some of our neighbors in Ohio had been stationed here in Columbus, so they give us some personal insight on the area! We moved into our house the day after we pulled into town, later we figured out that it was just a 2 minute drive to our church (big bonus down here-our ward boundaries are HUGE!).

We still take walks around our neighborhood almost nightly. The kids love riding and running down the quiet streets, waving at all the people we know (and even the people we don't). Zach looks forward to walking by his friends house and waving as we stroll on by (with the promise that he will get to go play with them later). We have had a great year here, enjoyed getting to know our neighbors, watching the beautiful fall colors, savored all green of springtime---so if any of our military friends get stationed here, we highly recommend living in Sherwood Forest! Its even better then the movie!

We loved that neighborhood too!!! Oh and a little favor would you mind taking a picture of our old house just for memories sake? We would like to see what it looks like now? Glad you enjoyed the neighborhood as much as we did!!
