The Skinny Mini 6K!!!
Oh, wait I mean 12K, that's right our 6K turned into a 12k! HUGE difference!!!!
You might wonder how that happens, well its simple really---We just missed the official start to the race because dinner took longer then we planned and since we were only planning on doing a 6K (3.74 miles) so dinner before hand was no big deal. We were dead last in the beginning and then as we got to st over a mile we noticed the course as going over to a part of ton that we knew was too far away from the start to be under 4 miles. We asked one of the officers directing traffic if we needed to turned the other way, he said we should have turned at the very beginning and so began our trek to complete the 12K (7.52 miles). although it was a much longer course and took us more than double the time we planned on, it was great! We laughed, and laughed and laughed the entire time!
Thanks ladies, its was a great way to celebrate turning 29!
We all made it and we still have smiles on our faces!
