The kids and I drove down to Jacksonville, Fl to meet up with Kristin and her kids. We stayed at Kristin's Mom's house on Saturday night, went to church on Sunday morning and that afternoon we made the trek down to Disney World! Yep, thats right Kristin and I took all five of our kids to Disney World without our husbands!
Day 1-Monday morning we headed over to Hollywood Studios. It was a long HOT day!!!! My poor kids are so not used to the heat! But they were both great troopers! First we went and got our passes for the Toy Story ride. Next we stood in line to meet Buzz Lightyear and Woody (one of the highlights of the entire trip for Zach)! Then were in search of some air conditioning, the Disney Junior and Little Mermaid shows were nice breaks from the heat! Then if I remember correctly we went out and watch a stunt sho, followed by playing in the "Honey I shrunk the kids" playground. Then we went out to watch the parade (Zach slept through the entire thing!). It was time to find some more ac, so we rode a movie ride and then it was finally time for us to ride the Toy Story ride!!!!
Day 2-Breakfast at Chef Mickey's and the day at Magic Kingdom--It was an early morning for all of us! We had reservations at Chef Mickey's at 7:10, although it was a challenge for us to get there on time, it was great to have it so early so we could spend the rest of the day in the park! Zach was more into his milk, cereal, and Mickey waffles then actually meeting the characters, oh, well we have some photos to show him in the future. And the food was the best meal all week!!!!

They had infant high chairs!!! I wish all restaurants had these!!!! |
After breakfast, Kristin and I took the older kids to Magic Kingdom while her mom took the babies back to the hotel for the day! I can not even begin to thank her mom for taking Molly for the day! It was the only time the entire week that I was really able to enjoy being in Disney world with Zach! We rode the Monorail over to the park and started our fun filled day!
Note for next time, if we go back with young kids who still want/need a stroller in the park I will seriously consider staying in one of the hotels with monorail access, it was so much easier then dealing with the bus!
Kristin, Carson and Bella riding the magic carpets! |
Both boys crashed! They actually took pretty long naps in the stroller! We rode a couple "big"rides, had lunch and enjoyed some down time not chasing two, two year old boys! |
Such boys!!!! Checkout their hands! |
We met Mickey and Minnie while Bella and Kristin met Belle, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty |
Zach was DONE with the sun/heat and pictures by the time we rode Dumbo! |
Riding the a classic, "Its a Small World" |
Chillin' at the end of a long day! Notice the pen marks, he was coloring while I took a quick shower! |
Day 4-Epcot--Molly still had a fever this morning so Kristin and her mom took her kids over to Magic Kingdom for their extra hours and Zach. Molly and I headed over to Epcot to squeeze in a few things before it got too hot for Miss Molly. After we arrived a the park we headed over to the Nemo ride! Zach loved it, we ever rode it a few times because there was no one there! There were all kinds of things for Zach to play with in the Nemo building he loved touching all the computers (because thats a huge NO NO at home)! Then we went to Turtle Talk with Crush!
It was also Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival so I snapped a few pictures while the kids were in decent moods still!
That evening after venturing back out of the hotel room to find some dinner I took Zach over the the playground at our hotel. He had a blast going up a and down the slide over, and over and over again!
Day 5- Animal Kingdom--The last morning we were in Disney I took Zach and Molly to Animal Kingdom after I loaded up the car for our drive home that afternoon. This was one of my favorite parks! Although we hardly saw a third of the park (its kinda hard to see much with just me and the two kids) what we did see I loved! We spent more time there then I thought we would (Molly was feeling much better) but decided that I didn't want to push my luck since we had a 5 hour dive ahead of us!Friday we drove to Dothan, Alabama about 5 hours north west of Orlando. Then next morning we did a bit of shopping (they have a Target!) before heading back home! Now its time to start packing for the next trip (we head out Sunday morning).
