Sunday dinners

After church each Sunday we have a nice family dinner, its usually one of the only times all week that Josh, Zachary and I are all eating at (or around the same time). If we lived closer to our families I am sure that we would have a tradition of getting together on Sunday evening and spending some quality time together over a meal.


Since the military keeps us at a distance with our families we have started our own "family" Sunday dinners with our friends here in Ohio. We are so blessed to have such amazing friends. Over the past year they truly have become family to us. They have been there for us through all the ups and downs of the last year and I am sure that their friendship will continue in the future.

It seems that nearly every Sunday over the summer we would have a Sunday dinner outside between our house and the Heaton's. You would have thought that since we seemed to this on a a regular basis that we would have lots of pictures, but we always seemed to forget that part. Now that the fall weather has moved in and it will be several months before our outdoor dinners continue, we had one last "family dinner" over conference weekend. Johnny and Shelby invited us to their backyard for some BBQ and lots of fun! Here are a few pictures from that evening.


We look forward to the spring when we can partake of our outdoor Sunday dinners once again! Until then, I guess we will have to find a way to all fit in our house :)
