What a month its been!

Well after talking to our folks on Father's Day I was reminded that I haven't posted an update on here for quite some time. There have been plenty of times that I have thought about it but I guess it just never happened....so here's what we have been up to!

We had to say "see ya later" (good- byes are just too hard) to the Lewis family. We were able to surprise Sassy with one last girls night out before they left. We sure do miss you all!!!! Best of luck in Alaska!!!!!Then it was my birthday, thank you so much for all the heartfelt wishes! Its was a nice day that ended with dinner out with our good friends the Heatons. The best part was that Saturday Josh (and all the other dad's in neighborhood) took the kids ALL DAY so the girls could go shopping! It was great! We headed down to the Gap clearance center in Kentucky to stock up on some summer clothes! Thanks guys, we all really enjoyed ourselves (we got some AMAZING deals too)!Zachary has discovered his *love* of standing! This little guy just loves to stand. If he is fussy at all, just stand him up and that usually calms him right down. He is finally tall enough for his entertainer and just loves spending time playing in it.

Zach and Porter had their first day at the pool together! Zach wasn't too sure what to think of the water. The baby pool was kinda warm but the bigger pool was still a bit chilly for him. Every time we would dip his toes in he take a quick deep breath and shiver! We have been back a few times and he enjoys it more and more each time. I am sure that we will be spending quite a bit of time at the pool this summer!

We are borrowing this bouncer from the Heatons.....as you can tell Zach loves this thing!!!! This was from his first time in it.
On Saturday Josh competed in another triathlon. This one was really fun because it was a canoe, run, bike. Josh had a great time and they ended up placing 42nd (out of 163)!!!! WoooHooo!!! Great job honey! Just watching all the people compete in these triathlons is so motivating.....so motivating that Rachel and I will be competing in one together on Aug 15th!!!! If you ever have a chance to just go watch one you should, you'll be amazed by the participants!

Let's see what else has been happening......
-Josh has been busy as ever with work, CAP, the Areo club, boy scouts, and his continual training for the triathlons.
-Last week we ran in a 5K on base and on Tuesday evening I will participate in my second duathlon on base.
-Josh was named CGO (company grade officer) of the quarter for the chief of staff's office.
-We are looking forward to our trip to Antigua.....39 days and counting!
-My mom arrives in 8 days!!!!!

Well I think that about covers it. We are loving the summer!!!! We seem to spend as much time outstide as possible (when we aren't melting) ;-)

Looks like Zach is enjoying his summer too! The pool, playing with new toys, jumping and being upright, laughing, ...couldn't ask for much more except maybe a visit from Gram! Only 7 more days and I get to be there in person to see it all! I am excited! Love, Gram
